The Kollektiv Barrieren Sprengen (engl. breaking barriers collective) is a registered association (e.V.) for non-profit purposes, which is committed to breaking down barriers in socio-cultural contexts.
After a first gettogeher as part of the Praerie Festival 2022, the decision was made to establish a formal structure to continue the work. The Kollektiv Barrieren Sprengen e.V. was subsequently founded in December 2022.
We are currently a team of seven founding members working on a voluntary basis to realise various projects.
We do not see our voluntary work as relieving politicians of their responsibility; rather, we want to use it to draw attention to discriminatory and exclusionary structures, including within the cultural scene. Our primary goal is to strengthen the right of people with disabilities to participate fully, effectively and equally in cultural life, combining craftsmanship with awareness!
